SUNY Delhi is the recognized leader in hospitality education, offering the only Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Hospitality Management in New York State. Students study in state-of-the-art technical training facilities under the direction of faculty members who bring extensive industry experience to the classroom. A worldwide network of alumni supports the program as well, giving students the best opportunity to get their career track off and running. It’s a proven approach that gets results and prepares graduates for middle management careers in the second largest industry in New York State.

Delhi features a contemporary educational and conference facility that offers hands-on experience in all facets of the industry, with a hospitality lobby, Marriott and Sheraton hotel suites, banquet and catering facilities, beverage laboratory and lounge. And Signatures, the student-operated restaurant, provides a realistic experience in all aspects of restaurant operations, including food production, planning, service and supervision. The restaurant serves the campus and the community, which adds to the real-world experience. Catering projects also give students experience in quantity food production. Banquets, luncheons, wedding receptions and other activities are presented for groups ranging from 20 to 250.

Laboratory classes are small to ensure students receive individual attention from faculty, each of whom has industry experience. Internships offer on-the-job training opportunities with many major employers in the hospitality industry, including: Marriott, Walt Disney World, Hyatt, AAA Worldwide, Crowne Plaza, Sheraton, Sodexho-Marriott, Aramark and the Grand Hotel. Special internships with independent operators and country clubs are available as well. Scholarships provided by the industry are available to hospitality majors at Delhi. Special awards include a one-week internship at a major hotel. An advisory board of industry executives, which includes many Delhi alumni, reviews the curriculum annually to ensure it keeps pace with industry standards.
