The International College of Tourism & Hotel Management (ICTHM) is a leading provider of business programs in the disciplines of hospitality, international tourism and event management. The qualifications are recognised and respected throughout the world and are therefore transportable. While the subjects you study and the skills you acquire are geared towards success within the hospitality, international tourism, and event management industries, much of what you learn is also valid and beneficial within other business sectors.

The College has over 600 students currently enrolled from more than 50 different countries around the world. The College is situated in one of Sydney’s most exciting districts, Manly, with the harbour on one side, surf beaches on the other and lively restaurants and cafés in between. The College is surrounded by 20 hectares of parklands and has extensive on-campus sport and recreational facilities. The fast ferry takes 15 minutes from Manly wharf to the city centre of Sydney. 

Academic Programs Offered At The College

Diploma of Hospitality Management
The 2-year Diploma program is offered in association with the leading Swiss hospitality training provider, HOTELCONSULT “César Ritz”. Students can transfer their studies to any of the HOTELCONSULT colleges in either Switzerland (Le Bouveret or Brig) or the USA (Connecticut).

Diploma of Tourism
The 2-year Diploma program prepares students to work in the fast-moving industry of International Tourism. This program has been designed to meet the growing need for managers in one of Australia’s leading export industries. ICTHM is an authorized IATA/UFTAA training center.

Diploma of Event Management
The 2-year Diploma traverses all forms of Event Management and provides students with the theory and know-how to manage events from conception through to implementation and post-production.

One of the most valuable components of ICTHM’s Diploma programs are the two terms of paid Industry Training. During Industry Training students will be working in industries relevant to their area of specialization and will accrue 1200 hours of fully paid work.

Bachelor of Business, Event Management

The 3-year Bachelor of Business programs are offered in association with Macquarie University, Sydney. (The first two years constitute the Diploma program.) The programs are designed to equip students with both applied and theoretical management skills necessary to compete successfully in a highly competitive global environment. Business studies are focused in the areas of finance, human resources and marketing.

Extended Diploma Program
In order that every student has an equal opportunity to excel academically, the 14-week introductory program is designed to give students support to improve their English language skills and assist in preparation for College life.

Master of International Business
The 1-year full-time program is offered in partnership with Macquarie University and suitable for all graduates who aspire to work in senior management positions in a multi- national business and trading environment.

Accommodation
Accommodation in single or shared well-equipped bedrooms is compulsory for EDP, Term 1 and 2 of the Diploma program and optional thereafter.

On campus facilities
The College’s exceptional learning facilities include 3 computer laboratories with the latest hotel management software, 24-hour e-mail and internet access, the Grand Ballroom, formal dining room, international standard main production kitchen, reception, library, Courtyard Café, common room, student bar, floodlit tennis court and sports equipment.

ICTHM is accredited by: Australian Hospitality Review Panel New South Wales; Vocational and Training Accreditation Board, Australian Council of Private Education and Training. HOTELCONSULT “César Ritz” colleges are accredited by: Ministry of Education of the State of Valais, Switzerland, Swiss Hotel Schools Association, The Accrediting Council for Independent Schools and Colleges (ACICS), Washington DC, USA.
