The diverse and dynamic hospitality and tourism industry provides challenging and exciting career opportunities for people with a wide variety of interests. US Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that by the year 2010, the industry will employ 14.8 million people. Of these, 18-20% or roughly 2.9 million people will be employed in managerial, professional or sales and marketing position. According to a report by The Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education Hospitality schools in the United States are only graduating 4,300 people each year. This low number insures graduates of many opportunities nationwide.

Students in our program are required to complete 2400 hours of paid internship placement prior to graduation. The internship program not only provides students with a way to offset expenses but also insures that that resume includes solid work experience prior to graduation. Our program boasts a 98% placement rate for our graduates as well as articulation agreements with more than 40 colleges and universities across the United States.
Accreditations

Faulkner State is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Unlike most culinary schools, if you choose to continue your education your credits will transfer to colleges and universities throughout the United States.

The Gulf Coast Culinary Institute of Faulkner State College is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Hospitality Management (CAHM). The CAHM accredits post-secondary programs that offer training to students to allow them to practice effectively on an entry-level in the area of Hotel and Resort Management.
