five foursomes, the reception and a return anniversary trip for the couple.
Wild Dunes Resort is a true island wedding destination. The Resort sits
on the tip of the Isle of Palms so guests get breathtaking views of the
Atlantic Ocean.
The
Mills House Hotel (millshouse.com)
in downtown historic Charleston will host the couple in the Presidential
Suite for the night of the wedding. Originally opened in 1853, the Mills
House Hotel combines the old-world charm and beauty of the 19th century
with contemporary luxury to provide the quintessential Charleston experience.
The
lucky couple will not have to lift a finger, only describe their dream
event to the folks at Something to Celebrate (mysomethingtocelebrate.com),
and the top rate event planners will make sure their day is unforgettable.
And, the staff from Something to Celebrate will be on site the day of the
event to make sure everything runs smoothly.
A
rehearsal dinner will be held on the Ashley River at picturesque Middleton
Place (middletonplace.org).
Imagine an event surrounded by 65 acres of America’s oldest landscaped
gardens. Magnificent Live oaks draped with Spanish moss, thousands of blooming
azaleas, dogwoods, and delicate wisteria paint the garden with an array
of colors. Middleton Place promises an unforgettable southern rehearsal
dinner experience.
When
guests work up an appetite, it will be satisfied by Duvall Catering &
Event Design (eventsbyduvall.com).
Local Charleston ingredients will be mixed into delicious seasonal hors
d’ourves during cocktail hour, then a seated dinner with an impressive
menu will follow. Duvall was named one of the top caterers in the Southeast
2007 by both Bride’s Book and The Knot.
The
Bridesmaids’ Lunch will be held at High Cotton, where Bloody Marys and
live jazz music flow in perfect harmony (mavericksouthernkitchens.com).
High Cotton lives up to its name|–|it
is truly first class, high spirited and livin’ large.
The
bride will be offered a custom wedding dress designed by Ulla-Maija, a
custom head piece and veil, consultation services, fittings and day of
attendance from Maddison Row|–|Bridal
Chic (maddisonrow.com). Maddison
Row not only exemplifies everything that is charming about a wedding in
Charleston, but also provides the best in service, knowledge and overall
store experience.
Absolutely
Charleston (absolutelycharleston.com),
a staple in transportation for the Holy City, will provide lifts to and
from planned events taking place at destinations located outside the Wild
Dunes Resort. The trolley fleet charms guests by using vehicles reminiscent
of a bygone era.
One
focal point of the reception not to be forgotten is the wedding cake, provided
by Ashley Bakery (ashleybakery.com).
For inspiration, Ashley Bakery can turn to reception decorations, the attendants’
attire, your invitations, or even trips you have taken as a couple, a favorite
food, or hobbies you both enjoy. This bakery can take your ideas and turn
them into a customized design just for you!
On
hand to provide the bursts of color in each bouquet is a local favorite,
Charleston Flower Market (charlestonflowermarket.com).
The Charleston Flower Market business actually started as a local flower
farm, and whenever possible we use products that are locally grown or made,
from sweet grass baskets and palmetto roses to delphinium and sweet peas.
Guests
will shake and shimmy and rock and roll while partying with the Joe Clark
Big Band (joeclarkebigband.com).
Their music is fun, romantic and has stood the test of time.
A
morning-after brunch will be provided for all 50 guests aboard SpiritLine
Cruises (spiritlinecruises.com)
on the harbor near the waters lapping at Fort Sumter. Spiritline will provide
a unique and unforgettable day filled with beautiful views, incredible
food and impeccable service.
The
entire event and the many beautiful details will be captured by Lea Dales
Photography (leadales.com). The
wedding album will become a piece of art that you and your family will
want to look at for years to come as you relive your wedding day with all
its joy, love and emotion as if it were yesterday.
Video
coverage will be provided by the Chart Group (charlestonscvideo.com).
The Chart Group is known for accurately capturing the emotion of the special
day so that it can be shared with family and friends for years to come.
Total
value for this weekend-long affair is over $80,000.
