Chemeketa Community College
is located in Salem, Oregon, in the heart of the Willamette Valley. The
Hospitality Systems Management (HSM) program offers an Associates of Applied
Science Degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management; Transfer Degree
in Hotel, Restaurant & Resort Management and a one-year certificate
in Travel Systems Operations. Upon completion students will have the skills
necessary to begin Hospitality management careers in areas such as lodging,
food and beverage, travel and tourism, meeting and event planning, gaming
and leisure and recreation.
The department also manages
the Oregon Restaurant Education Foundation's 'ProStart Hospitality Program,'
currently in 40 high schools, statewide. On-going Industry specific short-term
trainings are offered including Foodhandler, Food Manager Training and
Culinary Basics.
